Hawthorne - Young Adult Computer Lab, Hawthorne Public Library

This in-person course is for anyone wanting to learn the basics of technology and computers. In this 12 subject course, students will develop basic computing fundamentals, improve digital communications, identify the importance of protecting individual data, and apply key applications. Course subjects include basic computer knowledge and skills, learning to use computers, smart devices, software applications, social media and more. NOTE: Due to limited spacing, please refrain from registering for multiple classes. One class registration at a time.

If you are looking for a fun brain challenge, the Chinese game of Mahjong incorporates skill, strategy, calculation and chance. The American version Mahjong is played at the Louis Bay 2nd Library every Monday night at 6 pm in a joyful and enlightening atmosphere. Please note that there is no training/teaching available-- one must have an idea on how the game is played.
