Route 66 turns 100 this year! Join us for a fascinating presentation exploring the history of the “Mother Road” and the everyday people who lived, worked, and traveled along it. Drawing from 100 newly compiled oral histories from the Illinois State Museum, this program shares what it was really like to eat, sleep, and drive the iconic highway—including the challenges Black travelers faced and how road travel has changed over time.
