Nature Story Time (at Patriarche Park)

Source

Patriarche Park, See location details in event description., 960 Alton Road, East Lansing, MI 48823

This event series is intended for Children Ages 3-6 , who should be registered to secure a spot ( adult caregivers must accompany their child throughout the event, but need not register a seat for themselves ).  Because many people have varying schedules in the summertime, we ask that you please register for each week separately . Join Rhe and Dr. B for an outdoor nature story time at Patriarche Park!  Each week we will focus on a different nature-related theme (e.g. Trees, Birds, Rocks, Colors, and more) as we explore with magnifying glasses, listen to children's books, and complete a fun craft/activity. We will meet in the grassy area under the trees just to the east of the parking lot that runs along the drive between baseball fields #3 and #4 (see map below) at the "back" of the park. Families are encouraged to bring folding outdoor chairs and/or outdoor blankets or beach towels to sit upon during the story time readings.  Because this is a weather-dependent outdoor program, please be sure to check the email that you've used to register on the morning of the event in case there are any cancellations. Attendees should take whatever precautions they prefer for outdoor activities (e.g. protection from sun, insects, heat, etc.). It will likely also be quite warm during many of our gatherings, so bringing a water bottle is recommended to help stay cool and hydrated. LEGO Thursday

East Lansing Public Library, Meeting Room, 950 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI 48823

LEGO Thursday is a family-friendly event for builders of all ages (ages 3+ due to small parts) and experience levels.  Attendees have the option to "free build" their own creations or may choose to build along with the week's suggested theme.  Each weekly build theme will encourage builders to tackle a specific design challenge using the bricks available at their table.  These suggested themes often allow for builder's creations to contribute to a larger community build (e.g. each builder might design and build a single floor of a collaborative skyscraper).   LEGOs are provided.   No registration required.  This event is free and open to the public.
