Forensic Anthropology Lab

You've just arrived at the lab where you work as a forensic anthropologist when you receive a call from the state police. Some hikers in the White Mountains have discovered bone scatters, unorganized fragments of remains. They've sent the bones undisturbed to your lab for analysis, where you will excavate the bones, determine whether or not they are human, catalogue them, and then see if you can make any other observations about the remains that could help the police determine who they might have belonged to.

Three Men and a One-Shilling Knife: A Genealogical Look at Local History

Presented by Robert Cameron Weir of the New Hampshire Society of Genealogists, this engaging program uses a dramatic 1788 tavern killing in New Durham to show how genealogists uncover the stories from the past. Through newspapers, court records, military records, petitions, and other original sources, the lecture follows the intertwined lives of three Revolutionary War veterans and reveals how family history research can illuminate the people, events, and communities of New Hampshire’s past.
