Adults – we welcome you to join us in the downstairs Meeting Room on Thursday, July 09 at 10:15 AM to the Next Chapter’s presentation in the Lone Star Flight Museum Lecture Series. Brad Adams looks forward to presenting "The Importance of Ice Cream to the US Military in World War II.” This free event requires no registration.  Light refreshments, including one discussed, will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library . The Next Chapter is an in-person event for adults of all ages where we offer informative and entertaining presentations by staff, the Friends of Freeman Library, and local partners. Chair Yoga With Hiba

Join us for introductory Yoga series where we will explore the many physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. Participants will practice gentle movement and simple meditation techniques aimed at increasing physical ease and mental clarity. The program will be adapted to the ability levels of those who register, and no prior yoga experience is required. This event is first come, first serve. Once all chairs are filled, no more people will be able to come in the room. Information for Persons with Disabilities: Programs and services are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliant. Special accommodations can be requested in advance by contacting the library. This series will be led by Hiba Haroon, founder of (un)jaan, a highly experienced trauma-informed yoga therapist and facilitator. She draws on a range of healing modalities to support individuals and groups in strengthening, softening, and healing the mind, body, and spirit.

Build confidence. Improve pronunciation. Read together. Join us for a relaxed group reading program designed to help strengthen your English pronunciation and fluency. Participants will take turns reading aloud in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Thursdays Starting June 4 3:30–5:30 PM This is a non-leveled ESL program, best suited for learners who already have a basic to strong understanding of English. All reading materials will be provided. Coaster Painting

Learn how to add color to two laser engraved ceramic tile coasters using paint markers! This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up; children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults  must be able to help their children with the project. Prior attendance at a laser cutter orientation is not necessary; coasters are pre-engraved by staff. Registration is required due to limited seating and supplies. When registering, include the number of participants in your attendance count; if you are an adult attending with your child but do not intend to participate in the craft, please do not count yourself in the number of people registered.
