Tai Chi can help improve balance, strength, flexibility, and mobility with slow, controlled movement. All ability levels are welcome. Intended for older adults, 55+. Sponsored by County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency.  No class held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The Tai Chi program will be held in the children's area between April 23, 2026 through June 10, 2026, due to Community Room unavailability. No class on April 23, 2026 & May 28, 2026.

Imperial Beach Arts and Imperial Beach Library are proud to present an exhibition of artwork from South Bay Artists as they interpret the theme of celebrating Imperial Beach, as part of recognizing the City of Imperial Beach’s 70th birthday. The fifth annual exhibition will run from July 11 2026 - May 29, 2027. Access to the community room to view the art is subject to community room availability, when the room is not in use for library programs or booked for community events. Join us for a tuition-free Introduction to Computers class taught by experts from Southwestern College.  The Introduction to Microsoft Word (NC-198) course provides students with the basic skills that are essential to format, edit, and save documents using Microsoft Word. Summer 2026 course held from 1:00-2:50 p.m., from 7/11/2026-8/1/2026. All materials provided. Join us for a free strength and balance fitness class for older adults, 55 years and older. In this 12-week exercise class, participants will improve their strength, balance, and overall fitness. Each class includes aerobic exercise, strength training, balance work, stretching, and fall prevention tips. Enjoy feeling more confident and steady! Aging & Independence Services (AIS), part of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, provides programs and services to help older adults and persons living with disabilities to stay safe, healthy, engaged, and as independent as possible.  The AIS Call Center is the gateway to information and assistance about AIS programs, as well as other community services for older adults, those living with disabilities, caregivers, and family members. Call Center Specialists also take reports of suspected elder and dependent adult abuse.
