Grand Storytelling

Source

55 Zero St., Granby, CO, 80446, US

From a monthly theme, we explore the stories of our lives and share them with a small group of fellow storytellers to deepen their meanings to us, to strengthen our connections with others, and to enjoy growing in the storytelling craft. All are invited to our welcoming space to share true, first-person stories, or just listen to others’ stories and participate in the building of community, developing social bonds through meaningful connection with the lives of others. Questions? Reach out to our Storytelling facilitator, Phil Ivers, at iverspr@gmail.com. July Theme (optional - all stories are encouraged): Adulthood Becomes Real Prepare a five-minute (or so) story about the moment when adulthood truly became real for you, whether you were (too) young, surprisingly old'ish, or just about the typical age. Maybe it brought sadness or maybe it brought joy. Maybe it was just humorous. This might be the first time you realized responsibility outweighed freedom, when a decision had lasting consequences, or when no one else was there to fix things for you. Focus on a specific event rather than a general phase of life—a conversation, a mistake, a loss, or a quiet realization that changed how you saw yourself. What expectations were challenged? What did you gain, lose, or finally understand? Tell us how that moment shaped the way you move through the world today.
