Please bring a laptop if you have one. If you do not have a laptop, members and non-members may check one out at the library. Printing services will be available for $0.10 per black and white page and $0.25 per color page. No appointment is necessary, patrons are helped on a first come, first served basis.

Seed Bomb Making on the Plant Discovery Bus! Session 1

In this interactive session presented on The Plant Discovery bus, students can learn about seeds, how they spread, and their impact on our ecosystem. After learning about the importance of seeds, participants will work through the entire process of making seeds bombs of their own, which are clay balls filled with native pollinator seeds and wildflower seeds. The students are then able to take their seed ball home and throw it anywhere they like to see seeds sprout and grow! All supplies will be provided.
Note: Guardians should accompany students, but only students will be able to enter the bus and create a seed bomb in order to give the most students the opportunity to learn.

This class covers the Sketchbook app. Sketchbook is an award-winning sketching, painting, and drawing app for anyone who loves to draw.
This class will be offered twice - June 16 and July 13 (you do not need to attend both). Check out our calendar for other art programs this summer, and make sure you register for any you'd like to attend.
The library will provide iPads for students to use during the class.
This program is a repeat of the program that took place on June 16th; attendance priority will be given to those who did not attend the first program, and those who have already attended will be placed on a waitlist. If the program does not reach capacity, those on the waitlist will be invited to attend.

Marybeth Wood is here every week to guide you through a session of Chair Yoga! Marybeth studied at the Davenport School of Yoga and holds classes at Scott County jail, senior facilities, Bettendorf School of Yoga, the library, and even the privacy of individual's homes! She has taught students from 3 years old to 94 years young, so she is ready and willing to help you feel good with some light movements and stretching. She states, "So if you are; old, young, thin or large, short or tall, flexible or not so flexible..... take the plunge, give yoga a shot, you won't be disappointed".
There is no cost to this program. If you care to donate, Marybeth donates all proceeds to the Hampton Township Pantry to help aide our community members! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via phone or email and we would be happy to help.
