Celebrate Unplug Illinois Day with a full day of screen-free fun for everyone. Unplug Illinois is a statewide initiative that encourages people to take a break from electronic devices and reconnect with play, creativity, and community through hands-on activities and shared experiences. Please register and let us know which event(s) you plan to attend. The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a monthly meeting where teens voice their opinions and ideas related to teen use of the library, such as materials and future programming. Join us and share your ideas for the library in what we can provide for you and how we can improve. Registration is strongly encouraged. Attending a TAB meeting counts for 1 hour of volunteer service. You do not need to be a registered Teen Volunteer to attend these meetings. Meeting will be canceled if no attendees after 15 minutes. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Food Allergy Warning: Please be aware that we may have food items that may contain dairy, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, or gluten ingredients.

Commemorate Disability Awareness Month with The Men (1950), starring Marlon Brando in his powerful screen debut. Brando is a wounded veteran adjusting to life after a spinal cord injury, offering a moving portrait of resilience and recovery. Brando immersed himself in research for the movie living with disabled veterans for a month. The always wonderful Teresa Wright also stars. Run time: 1:27 Registration required

Spend a fun evening at the library sharing your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island! For ages 13 to 18. The theme? Design a garden or farm-themed area on your island to show-off. We will vote the best garden/farms for small prizes! There will be Animal Crossing coloring pages and a small craft to enjoy too! There will be snacks and refreshments provided.
