Unearthing the Story of Moravian Pottery

Moravian pottery operations in Bethabara and later Salem, North Carolina, were some of the most successful church businesses in North Carolina Moravian settlements in the 18th and early 19th centuries. Johanna Brown, chief curator and director of Collections, Research, and Archaeology at Old Salem Museums & Gardens will talk about how archaeological records tell a more complete story of North Carolina's Moravian pottery traditions.

Tai Chi for Beginners

Learn the calming practice of Tai Chi at the Lewisville Branch Library. This form of low-impact exercise and deep breathing is known to reduce stress and improve balance, strength, and flexibility. An exercise waiver is required, and attendees younger than 18 must have a parental/guardian's signature. Download the waiver and bring it to class or fill out a paper form at the class.
