Join us for toddler storytime at the Fremont Library! Children and their caregivers are invited for a morning of stories, songs, and fingerplays.  This program is designed to accommodate toddlers ages 1 to 2 years who can stand/walk and their caregivers. Space is limited. Free tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be distributed at the ticket line located outside the library 15 minutes before the program starts. Hands on Science - Animal Meet & Greet

We have some Animal ambassadors from East Bay Regional Parks  visiting Fremont Main Library, this summer. Come, check them out.  The ambassadors visiting us could vary but possibilities are a Gopher snake, Rubber boa, American bullfrog, and Alligator lizard. This program introduces children to their habitats, behavior and conservation.  This is a free ticketed drop-in program. Tickets will be available at the Children's Desk 15 min prior to the start of the program. Please be prepared to wait your turn to meet them. Recommended Age - 3+. All are welcome! Open Sew

Visit The Spark on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month to work on your sewing projects. This is not a class, it's just an opportunity to hang out, sew, and get advice if you're stuck! Bring whatever project you're working on. We have the following equipment and materials available: Sewing machines with various presser feet Black and white polyester thread Iron and ironing board Scissors and snips Rotary cutter, acrylic rulers and cutting mat Fabric scraps Note:  The November 26 session will take place on Saturday, November 28 from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm. The December 24 session will take place on Saturday, December 26 from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm. This program is for adults. Space and sewing machines are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Kung Fu and Self Defense Class for Kids

Join us to learn basic Chinese Kung Fu techniques that help keep young minds sharp and bodies strong! This is a series of six weekly classes, held every Thursday from June 11 to July 16, 2026. Recommended for kids ages 6–12 with little or no martial arts experience. Registration for the full series is required and begins May 21, 2026. Please register using the student’s name , not the parent’s. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Registered students must check in by 1:45 PM on the first day of class. If not, their spot may be released to waitlisted participants and cannot be reclaimed once released. Waitlisted students must also be present by 1:45 PM to be eligible for open spots. Sing-A-Long Sign Language Storytime

Children, parents, and caregivers will have a blast laughing, signing, and singing with Teacher Bill, author of the book, Signs of a Happy Baby . Mr. Bill integrates American Sign Language (ASL) into his storytime. Baby Sign Language gives children the opportunity to communicate long before they can verbalize their wants and needs. Research studies show that signing with babies accelerates language acquisition, reduces frustration, enhances a child's self-esteem, and deepens the bond between parent and child. Seats are limited, and a ticket is required to attend this storytime. Tickets will be handed out OUTSIDE 15 minutes prior to the start of the program. Mobile Fish Exhibit

Look who is coming to the Fremont Main Library! East Bay Parks ' Mobile Fish Exhibit, a 1500-gallon aquarium on wheels, housing a diverse collection of California Freshwater Fish will be here to visit us. The Mobile Fish Exhibit provides a fantastic view of the otherwise invisible underwater world and is a great jumping off point for conversations about aquatic resource preservation and protection.  This is a drop-in program. If the aquarium viewing capacity is reached, you would have to wait your turn to view the exhibit.  Please form a line in the parking lot to the right of the library- Near Paseo Padre Parkway.  No Registration!  All are welcome! Build your child’s communication skills through Shared Reading! “Storytime with AAC” aims to support families/caregivers of emergent communicators by demonstrating language using AAC Systems, helping children develop a love for reading and building language through shared interaction and connection. This program is conducted by graduate students in the "LISTEN with AAC" training program at Cal State East Bay. Who Can Attend? This program is designed for emergent communicators, ages 7 & under who are learning to communicate using AAC Systems. Open to children of all abilities! Please note that communicating with AAC Systems is usually very slow, and we will pace the story time with this in mind. A parent/caregiver must accompany the child for all the sessions. Due to limited seating, we request only 1 caregiver per child. Curious about crochet? Joining this course all the basic foundation skills and learn all the basics, like pattern reading and controlling tension. Join us at the Fremont Library for some summer time yoga. Ages 6-12 welcome. Yoga helps kids to relax, relieve stress and anxiety, sleep better, improve emotional regulation, increase empathy, and improve mood and affect. Checkmate! Join Golden Bay Chess for a morning of strategy, creativity, and fun! Whether your child is a total beginner or looking to sharpen their skills, this program offers something for everyone.
