Learn how to play chess, play with other kids your own age or skill level, or work on strategy at weekly meetings with Coach Jack! Players of all levels, beginners and up, are welcome. The Chess Club meets on Thursdays in the Children's Department from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. Registration is required for all participants. All caregivers and children MUST check in at the Children's Desk. Caregivers must remain in the Children's area with their with child during the program. Puzzle lovers: join us in the Struble Room from 10:00 to 10:30 AM to meet fellow puzzlers and swap your gently-used jigsaw puzzles! For every puzzle that you bring, you can take one from one of our swap tables. Swapped puzzles must be in good condition, have at least 300 pieces, be complete (with no missing pieces, unless clearly labeled as such), and be in the original vendor's box.

Unearth a Story: Colonial Science Series, is a four week program that explores trades and skills common during the colonial time period, through books, discussion, and hands-on projects! Unearth a Colonial Science Story! Chapter 4: Colonial Land Science Join us as we explore the ways the early Americans made use of the land and water around them. We will go back in time to learn the STEM practices that families used to grow crops, tell time with the sun, and plan towns. This program focuses on the skills and technologies used by Surveyors, Farmers, and Explorers. For children entering grades 2 - 5. Adult caregivers must remain in the library during the program.
