Explore new musical genres each week!
This class will include a story based on the week’s genre, as well as time for children to explore handheld percussion instruments and rock out to a themed playlist.
This program is for children ages 0-18 months old with their caregivers. Caregivers are encouraged to participate and play during class.
Registration is required, space is limited.

The Sun is approaching a period of maximum activity which can affect the Earth. Come and look at our sun with experienced observers using special solar telescopes at this time of high activity on our star. You will see the surface of our sun and its atmosphere like never before. Sunspots, surface granules, possible eruptions and more using these instruments. Solar science will also be described in an engaging, self-paced way that is approachable for both adults and school students. Don't miss this opportunity!
This is a DROP-IN event for all ages, stop by anytime between 10:00am and 12:30pm.
This is a weather-dependent event and will be cancelled if it is cloudy or rainy on the event day.

Join your library friends and Miss Sarah from The Studio of Valley Forge for a fun and unique ballet class and storytime!
Preschool Ballet is a great introduction to ballet for younger dancers. Along with learning classic ballet moves and terms, the class will also feature a storytime, a mini sing-a-long, and movement games!
For Ages 2-6
No dance experience necessary!
Participants should wear clothing and shoes they're comfortable moving in.

What can you observe in the night sky? Come to the library and learn all about the exciting things we can find - Star Clusters, Nebulae, Galaxies, Planets and Moons!
The Downingtown Library and Chester County Astronomical Society are working to develop a Telescope Loaner program where library patrons can borrow a Beginners Telescope. During our discussion, we will highlight how to use this instrument (valued at $600) and provide some tips for observing the night sky.
