Source
Jacinto City Branch Library, 921 Akron Street, Houston, TX 77029
Join us to learn all about Preparing Your Fall Garden! Preparing your fall garden involves getting your growing space ready for cooler-season crops by clearing out summer plants, improving soil health, and selecting crops suited for fall conditions. This process includes removing weeds and debris, adding compost or organic matter to replenish nutrients, and checking soil moisture and drainage. Gardeners should also plan for shorter daylight hours and cooler temperatures by choosing crops like leafy greens, root vegetables, and herbs that thrive in fall weather. Proper preparation helps extend the growing season, improve plant health, and increase overall productivity in the garden.
