Are you a teen (13-17) interested in community service and/or helping to plan teen activities at the library? Then join LoTAB, the Logan Library Teen Advisory Board! The requirements are simple: be between ages 13 and 17, live in Logan or have an active Logan Library card, commit to attend planning meetings at least once a month, commit to supporting LoTAB for at least one year (until May/June 2026), and most importantly BE COOL (No tolerance for bullying or being rude to the other members). ASL Conversation Club is a peer-led practice group for learners of all levels seeking more consistent opportunities to practice American Sign Language. This is not a class but a relaxed space to practice ASL through conversation using Deaf community–approved resources. Deaf community members are welcome to join as participants, with no expectation to teach. Beginners are welcome, and whether you are just starting out or have been signing for years, this club offers a welcoming place to practice ASL, meet others, and be part of a growing community.

The Elegant Game of Go: Monthly Go Club

Join us on the second Monday of each month at 7 pm to explore the elegant strategy of Go! One of the oldest board games still played today. Originating in China over 2,500 years ago and deeply rooted in Japanese culture, Go is a game of territory, tactics, and creativity. Players take turns placing stones on the board, capturing opposing pieces, and claiming space. From simple rules emerges a game of remarkable depth and challenge. Whether you are brand new to Go or already have experience, all skill levels are welcome. Come learn the basics, practice your strategy, and enjoy an evening of thoughtful play in a friendly, welcoming environment. No registration required. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. This program is presented in partnership with the Japanese Outreach Initiative.

We cycle through fun activities each month, building with Legos on the first Wednesday, getting some fun exercise in Move It Club on the second Wednesday, playing board games (including Chess) on the third Wednesday, creating a fun craft on the fourth Wednesday, and watching a movie on the rare fifth Wednesday. This week, we are playing board games and chess in the Community Room!

America 250 Lecture Series: The Other 1776, Domínguez, Escalante, and the Mapping of Utah

As the United States marks 250 years since 1776, Logan Library and our community partners are proud to present the America 250 Lecture Series, inviting our community to explore the many ways the American experiment has taken shape, politically, socially, and culturally. June 20, 2026, Lecture: This lecture will discuss the significance of the Dominguez-Escalante expedition for the future white exploration and settlement of Utah. Rebecca Andersen is a Senior Lecturer in History at Utah State University. She researches Utah and Latter-day Saint History and is currently working on a book project on Mormon cultural landscapes.
