Celebrate National Picnic Month with family fun picnicking at the library! Bring your own baskets, blankets, and lunch as we spend the day enjoying our new outdoor landscape. Please note: Due to hotter temperatures in July, the library will be open as a cooling center. Lawn space is limited, and some areas may not have adequate shade. This method of "photography" uses UV-sensitive salts and the light of the sun to create beautiful images. We'll have all the supplies needed, but feel free to bring small (preferably flat) items such as leaves, keys, and other knick-knacks to use in your images! If it's not nice outside, we will make the prints indoors with artificial light.

Are you or your child interested in learning how to play Dungeons & Dragons but not sure where to get started? Join us at the Ginter Park Library for a fun, free, and new-player friendly D&D gaming session. Learn the basics and create your very own character! All materials and information provided. Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop roleplaying game where players take on the roles of a unique and personally-created character in a fantasy setting, working with other players to overcome various obstacles. This game helps promote math skills, cooperation, leadership, and creativity. Come try it out! Open to children ages 8-12 and their parents. Registration is required.

Dive into the immersive sci-fi and high fantasy worlds of Warhammer, creating an army and clashing in tabletop battle against your friends! Over several sessions, we’ll introduce you to the worlds of Warhammer, teach you the art of building and painting miniatures, and the lore and gameplay of both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40k. The first twelve members to join will get free miniatures to build, paint, and use in the game! Ages 12-18

Celebrate World Watercolor Month by experiencing the art of watercolor! This session is designed to give you the tools to explore this versatile and expressive art medium. Join us for a brief overview of watercolor materials and techniques, share knowledge and inspiration with others, and begin painting from your imagination! This is an independent exploratory session, but staff will be available to assist with different methods of painting with watercolor on paper. Whether you're a complete beginner or an expert, we encourage all abilities to attend and experiment along with us.
