Coffee & Connection
Source
Concord, 2900 Salvio Street, Concord, CA 94519
Coffee & Connection is a monthly program that brings local organizations directly into the library to connect with the people they serve. Each month, the Concord library hosts a different community group to give patrons an open, welcoming space to ask questions, share concerns, and learn about available resources. We encourage an honest dialogue to help strengthen relationships between community members and the organizations that support them. Whether patrons want information, need assistance, or wish to voice feedback, the Concord library provides a respectful forum for conversation and connection...and coffee. Coffee and snacks will be provided. This month we will be hosting Bike Concord, a local grassroots organization. They work for safe, convenient, and enjoyable bicycling in our community. Bike Concord consists entirely of volunteers who are determined to make bicycling a mainstream transportation option. They encourage bike-friendly transportation decisions, create bike-centered social events, and educate and equip bicycle users to maintain safety on the road. Bike Concord is not a closed group. Anyone who wants to work for a bike-friendly future is welcome to get involved. Bike Concord's Bike Kitchen is Concord’s DIY bike shop, where knowledgeable mechanics can help you fix your bike and provide all the parts you’ll need. You can also find used bikes at affordable prices. Programming is made possible thanks to support from the Concord Friends of the Library.
