Baby Lapsit invites newborns, infants, babies, and their caregivers to learn together by strengthening their relationship with each other through stories, songs, bounces, tickles, rhymes, books, and play. After Storytime concludes, we invite you to Stay & Play! The Storytime librarian will join in the fun with special toys, giving babies and parents time to connect. Teens Reach is the youth council for the San José Public Library for ages 13-18, providing a key way for young adults to build their leadership skills by developing and participating in library activities, as well as becoming library advisors and advocates. Rose Garden's Teens Reach group meets monthly on the second Tuesday with socializing and fun at 4:00 pm. Led by experienced high school mentors who have taught competition math for over four years, this program introduces students to higher-level mathematical thinking through engaging, interactive, and strategy-based learning. Math Magicians Academy emphasizes creative problem solving, logical reasoning, mathematical communication, and confidence-building. Students are encouraged to explore multiple ways to solve problems, explain their thinking aloud, collaborate with peers, and approach challenges with curiosity and persistence.
