Storytime is designed to accommodate a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement activities. Storytime is a fun and interactive experience for the whole family that promotes the joys of reading and learning for all ages. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers! Storytime: 10:30am - 10:55am Free, with limited capacity. Seating for Storytime is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of tickets will be distributed at the Information Desk 30 minutes prior to the start of Storytime. For the best experience we recommend bringing your own mobile device, but you can also follow the demonstration on the projector screen and take notes. These workshops are open to all adults who wish to learn technology basics!  Topics: June 23 -  Google Translate for Travel and Communication - Use text, voice, and camera translation. Save common phrases for travel. Practice offline translation. July 10 -   Using ChatGPT - How to use ChatGPT to summarize long documents, organize items like receipts, ask effective questions and protect your privacy. Participating in the Reading to Children program is a great way for children to develop their imagination and spark a love for books, reading, and learning. Do you have a presentation or interview coming up? Want to gain confidence with your public speaking and conversation skills? Our meetings are an excellent opportunity for practice. If you have a presentation or other material prepared which you would like to practice, please notify me with estimated time length through the contact email provided so I can add it to a future meeting agenda. Otherwise, no preparation is needed for new guests. Meetings are in hybrid format. You may attend in-person in Group Study Room 2 or participate through Zoom. You may just observe, or participate by answering a prompt question for 1-2 minutes during the “Impromptu Speech” section of the meeting.  Registration is required to receive a Zoom link and password. Links and passwords will be provided by email 24 hours before the program, and again an hour prior.
