Stomp and Shake Storytime

Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch, 2100 Reading Plz., Elkhorn, NE 68022

Get ready for a roaring good time! In this hands-on musical experience inspired by Dinosaurumpus!, kids become the musicians as they explore the many ways percussion instruments make sound—shaking, scraping, and striking along with the story. Guided by a staff member from the Omaha Symphony, young participants will stomp, chomp, and make music together while discovering how rhythm brings this dinosaur-filled tale to life. Developed for preK-3rd graders, this story time will adapt well for younger kids with adult support. This is a free event for all ages. Childcare groups of 10 or more, please call in advance. Parents/caregivers must remain with their child(ren) for the duration of the program. All Omaha Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible. Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event? Please email Nancy Novotny at NNovotny@omahalibrary.org to request accommodation.
