Hosted by Jane's Special packs a non-profit inspiring women everywhere to break the silence and foster a community that advocates for period equity. Join us at Octavia Fields Library for a Manga Drawing Class. You will use a template to start your drawing, but you will learn how to free hand manga facial proportions, line quality, and shading. All students will leave with their own unique manga character illustration.

Bring your items to mend. Use our makerspace sewing machines to mend and/or create your own items.  You must already know how to use the machine. Instruction is not included in this program. Basic color thread is here, if you need a special color, you must bring it. 18+ only First come, First served.

Have you ever heard of porch goose? If your answer was no, prepare to amaze yourself, because you can make your own porch goose at Octavia Fields Library. A porch goose is a concrete porch decoration that originated in the Upper Ohio River Valley as a take on fiercely protective geese that guard their homes. Porch geese are seasonally decorated to celebrate holidays and special events. Come and join us to paint your own porch goose and maybe even spend some extra time with us making your porch goose's first holiday outfit.
