THIS EVENT IS OFFICIALLY RESCHEDULED TO MONDAY, JULY 13TH, AT 2 PM Houston Grand Opera is thrilled to bring you the Storybook Opera performance of “The Armadillo's Dream." Children of all ages will enjoy storytelling by an opera singer. This program is bilingual in English-Spanish.  This inspiring and timely tale stars an armadillo named Sandy who lives on the Houston bayou and dreams of singing. Though discouraged by the creatures he meets, Sandy is magically transformed during a storm and his shell becomes a part of a production at Houston Grand Opera. The Armadillo's Dream was commissioned by Houston Grand Opera. It was generously underwritten by Connie Kwan-Wong Foundation and CKW Luxe.

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is an opportunity for teenagers to voice their ideas and opinions regarding library programs. Participation can be used for community service hours.  You don't need a library card to participate in this meeting. You also do not need to register, just show up! Ages 14-18.

Wish You Were Here – Footprints Through Time When you discover a mysterious suitcase filled with expedition tools, you’ll use your imagination and senses to search for dinosaur fossils! Journey through the jungle, dig for bones at an excavation site, rescue dinosaurs from tar pits, and collect dino eggs—just be careful of the earth-shaking volcano! Additional Notes: Because this program includes hands-on props and materials, participants should disclose any allergies or sensitivities. This program is best suited for ages 3-8, but all ages are welcome
