Teens ages 12-18 are invited to learn how to make Oreo bites that look like dinosaur eggs at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Thursday, July 9th at 4:00 PM. A waiver is required to attend the program which will be emailed upon registration. The ingredients include gluten, dairy, and chocolate. Please let us know if you have any food allergies.

Learn Latin Club will introduce elementary Latin and Ancient Roman culture to middle school (4th--8th grade) students. Students will be using the Aequora textbook created by the Paideia Institute, a nonprofit organization for the Classics. Students will participate in activities such as drawing scenes from Greco-Roman mythology and drawing comics with Latin words. Over 60% of English words are Latin-based --- students can expect to gain a deeper understanding of English grammar and vocabulary through interaction with Latin in this program. Please register to attend the full class series which will take place on the following Mondays: June 15, June 29, July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27

Preschool Story Time uses stories, songs and finger plays, and a craft or activity to engage preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards kids ages 3 - 6 years. A 30 minute storytime and sing-a-long session featuring If You Sing a Song to a Dragon written by Alisa Magallón that provides an introduction to classic fables or original stories. Explores rhyming, theatrical interpretations of text, and singing. This program includes musical discovery and extension activities that promote collaboration, creativity, through the visual arts, and social emotional learning. Join us for a monthly event designed to help reluctant or shy readers gain confidence, with the help of some very good dogs. Paws for Therapy will provide trained therapy dogs, ready to help your child practice their reading! Each participant will get 10 minutes to read a book of their choice to a friendly, non-judgmental dog. It’s guaranteed to be a doggone good time. Reserve your spot the day of the event by selecting a time slot on our sign-up sheet 30 minutes prior to the program.

Tweens! Will you survive the night and discover who among you is a werewolf?? Tweens ages 8-12 can join us on Tuesday, July 21st at 4:00pm to play Werewolf. Werewolf is a roleplaying game where everyone is dealt a secret role. Villagers will try to discover who is a secret werewolf before it's too late!
