Join us for a matinee screening of "Hoppers" (2026). Animal-lover Mabel seizes an opportunity to use a new technology to "hop" her consciousness into a lifelike robotic beaver and communicate directly with animals. Sound Screenings is an entirely admission-free series programmed and presented by Nate Beeler and Lizzy Palmer on behalf of Scarecrow Video. On the first Thursday of each month, a community of adults of all ages gather to see and discuss remarkable works from across the one-hundred-thirty year history of filmmaking! Drawing from Scarecrow’s vast collection of over 155K discs and videotapes, the erudite hosts of the series lead an informative post-film discussion following each screening.
