Celebrate America's 250th Birthday with the Florian Schantz Jazz Combo at the Bloomfield Library on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2PM. Known for their engaging historical music programs, the Florian Schantz Jazz Combo will present a spirited musical journey through patriotic songs spanning America's 250-year history. Combining live performance with entertaining narration, the ensemble explores the stories behind the music, composers, musicians, instruments, and musical styles that have helped shape the nation's cultural heritage. Led by 24-year-old professional trumpeter Florian Schantz, the group has performed nearly 1,100 engagements throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Germany. Their appearances have included more than 200 libraries, as well as museums, historical societies, schools, senior centers, community celebrations, and private events.
