Celebrate America's 250th Birthday with the Florian Schantz Jazz Combo at the Bloomfield Library on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2PM. Known for their engaging historical music programs, the Florian Schantz Jazz Combo will present a spirited musical journey through patriotic songs spanning America's 250-year history. Combining live performance with entertaining narration, the ensemble explores the stories behind the music, composers, musicians, instruments, and musical styles that have helped shape the nation's cultural heritage. Led by 24-year-old professional trumpeter Florian Schantz, the group has performed nearly 1,100 engagements throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Germany. Their appearances have included more than 200 libraries, as well as museums, historical societies, schools, senior centers, community celebrations, and private events. All children are invited to join us at our library table from 5-6pm during the Bloomfield Community Farmers Market! We will feature special themed crafts, games, and other fun activities while the market is active. The Farmers Market is on Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30pm and runs from June 2 - October 27.

Join us for our Adult Dungeons & Dragons one-shot game! Our game is running on D&D 5e (based in 2014 edition)! Character Level 5 - premades will be available, or if players want to bring their own characters, they will be able to bring in their own. **Main things for people bringing their own characters are: Character made using official D&D published material for 5e Characters cannot have magic or custom items from other campaigns Characters must be level 5 No previous playing experience necessary!
