Motion Source Studio
Brookfield teens in 8th grade & up are invited to register for Film Camp! Learn the art of filmmaking from video production company Motion Source and produce a professional-level short film. This summer, aspiring young filmmakers can go behind the scenes and experience every step of the filmmaking process in an exciting new Film Camp presented in partnership with Brookfield video production company Motion Source. Over four weeks, Film Camp participants will work alongside professional filmmakers to learn the art of visual storytelling, camera operation, studio lighting, audio production, directing, acting, and film editing. Each session is divided evenly between instruction and hands-on application. Teens will meet at the Library and at Motion Source?s professional studio in Brookfield, where they?ll have the opportunity to work with real studio cameras and lighting equipment. By the end of the Film Camp, participants will have collaborated to produce their own short film! Film campers and their families will be invited to a Red Carpet Screening and Q&A event at the Library on Saturday, August 29 at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the premiere of the finished film. This unique opportunity is open to Brookfield teens in 8th grade and up. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory. A refundable $10 registration fee will be returned upon successful completion of all Film Camp sessions. Cash or check accepted. Space is limited to 10 teens; registration is required. Sessions Held Every Monday & Wednesday, July 6 - July 22, 1-3 p.m. Two Sunday Filming Days: July 26 & August 2 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) Red Carpet Screening & Finale at the Library: Saturday, August 29 at 6:30 p.m.
