Pick up a Take & Make kit with everything you need to make beautiful blue cyanotype prints. July's Take & Make kit contains supplies to make cyanotype prints. What is cyanotype printing? It is a type of photographic process that can be done without a camera! It is done using a special cyanotype solution that reacts to UV light to create monochromatic blue prints. It is an easy and safe kind of printmaking that kids and adults alike can enjoy. Just keep in mind that the cyanotype solution can stain clothing. Available for pickup starting July 17 while supplies last.

Dana Emrick is a children's author, storyteller, and mother from small-town Ohio who has dreamed of writing books since she was nine years old. Inspired by the beauty found in everyday family life, Dana writes heartfelt stories that celebrate childhood, home, motherhood, and the fleeting magic of growing up. Her debut children's book, A Place for Everything , was inspired by her life with her two boys and the joyful chaos that fills a family home. The story gently reminds readers that even in the messiest moments, love is what truly gives life meaning. When she's not writing, Dana can often be found reading with her boys, creating art, photographing everyday moments, and embracing the simple beauty of homestead life with her family Liza Johnson is the author of The ABC's of Plain City , a board book highlighting treasured landmarks of the Plain City, Ohio community. Come meet a group of Husky puppies who are working to become a sled dog team. They live in Alaska and would love to meet you! In 2019, retired teacher, Lisa Yoder , took a cruise to Alaska, where she met a litter of Husky puppies. Lisa is part of a folk music group and she kept looking for a song about sled dogs. Unable to find one, she wrote a song and eventually created this book centered around the song.

We'll print the designs using our sublimation printer and heat-set them using our tumbler press for a permanent dishwasher-safe beverage container you can take with you on your end-of-summer adventures. An event exclusively for the 18 and older crowd Be the cat's meow and immerse yourself in the glitz and glamour of the roaring 1920s while you attend a wingding party in the Glittersby Mansion (actually the Community Room of the Plain City Public Library). Due to mature subject matter, this program is only open to attendees 18 years or older. Light refreshment and mocktails will be served. Attendance is free, however, due to limited space, registration is required. During registration, please indicate if you would like to participate as a character suspect or a by-stander that will help investigate the crime. No preparation is required and all material will be provided during the program. Attendees should expect an email from the program organizer prior to the event with details about the evening. Costumes are very much appreciated but not required. A tip jar will be present to help support the Friends of the Plain City Public Library. Don't be a flat tire - Everyone who's anyone will be there!
