After our 15 minute rhyme time, the children and adults can share some cozy reading time together. Recommended for kids 24 months and younger and their caregivers, but all ages can attend! Join us for a special performance by the local trombone group Slide FX. Consisting of six trombones and full rhythm section, Slide Fx Jazz Trombone Ensemble are appealing to a wide variety of audiences that appreciate both jazz standards and commercial music. The Slide Fx repertoire spans both time and styles Slide Fx appears at the world-famous Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach. Special appearances have included the Playboy Jazz Festival in Old Pasadena Park, the International Association of Jazz Educators conference (Long Beach), and the International Trombone Workshop (Las Vegas). Slide Fx is the proud recipient of the coveted Kai Winding Award for best Jazz Trombone Group. Slide Fx is a group of fiercely talented gentlemen and gentlewoman musicians that share a love for their art against a backdrop of jokes and fun.
