Reflect back on the history of our community, the country, or your own personal experience. What should be remembered? Exhibit is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 am- 4:00 pm. It is CLOSED on weekends. It could be a person, a special moment in time, a place that means something, or a feeling that shouldn’t be lost to time. As we recognize the 250th anniversary of the United States, viewers of this exhibit will experience art that demonstrates moments we should not forget. Artists can submit one piece for EVPL’s exhibits. Interested artists can receive a registration form by emailing Arts@evpl.org. Completed forms must be received by 11:59 pm on Monday, June 22. Pieces should be dropped off in the Rotunda Meeting Room on the second floor at EVPL Central on Monday and Tuesday, June 29 and 30 from 10 am-4 pm. To register, fill the form out online: https://bit.ly/49b9li4 The public is invited to a closing reception with the artists on Saturday, August 1 from 4:30-5:30 pm in the EVPL Central Rotunda. A Concert on the Lawn event in the greenspace adjacent to the the library will follow at 6 pm.

Children grades 3-6 will enjoy a four-day-long robotics camp featuring the LEGO WeDo robots! Build and program your own WeDo robot to boost STEAM and coding skills. Registration required. In this one-on-one guided program, utilize the library's genealogy resources to discover information about your ancestors! With Pathways to the Past, you can reserve one-on-one time with McCollough's genealogy specialist. Sit with a librarian and research your ancestors using Ancestry.com If your research reaches a dead-end, we can utilize other library resources to find more information that may not be available on Ancestry. Need more time? Pathways to the Past is a recurring program, and you can book another session on the second or fourth Thursday of every month! Keep coming back until you're satisfied with the research we've accomplished.

Fright Night at McCollough features new and nostalgic horror films, spooky board games (play one of ours or bring your own!), and a casual adults-only hangout filled with scares, nostalgia, and fun. This month, Fright Night at McCollough is stepping away from movies and into the year 1990. Have the opportunity to play the cult classic interactive VHS board game, Nightmare . Players must race against the 60-minute timer and collect keys to escape the Gatekeeper's dimension. If the time runs out, he wins. The game supports 3-6 players.
