Emily Patel’s experience with infertility started when she was 25 years old and diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure. With the advances of science, she is now a mama, through donor egg IVF, to two precious little girls: Penelope and Everly. Hopeful Mama was established to leave a personal legacy for her daughters by demonstrating the importance of helping women in similar circumstances who may be searching for answers and by embodying Hopeful Mama’s core values of advocacy, education, and respect. Emily’s desire is to provide opportunities for women who need assistance with financial resources, education, and awareness of all of the fertility options available today that can help fulfill their dreams for tomorrow, just as she was able to fulfill her dream.

Do you love the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library and attending library programs? Show your support to the community and sign up to walk in the Summerfest Parade with us! We will meet at Ankeny High School and walk the entirety of the parade from Ankeny High School to Northview Middle School. You cannot ride in the truck during the parade. A parent or guardian will need to pick you up from Northview Middle School at the end of the parade. This program is for tweens and teens, grades 5 - 12. Registration required.

Bring a team of up to 4 people to compete in a 300 piece puzzle! The first team to correctly complete the puzzle will win a prize. Teams may consist of family, friends, siblings, grandparents, nannies, etc. ONLY REGISTER ONE PLAYER'S NAME TO HOLD YOUR SPOT. On the day of the competition, the person registered will show up ready to puzzle with up to 3 additional helpers; we do not need the names of the others helping. We will start this event at 1 PM sharp and run until first place wins. Registration is required, as we only have 6 puzzles/teams per session. We will run this event on July 13, 14, and 15, at 1 PM, as long as we have enough participants registered. Please only choose one day/time to attend.

Put together a team of up to 4 people to join us and test your team's puzzling prowess against other teams. Teams will work to complete a 500-piece puzzle in two hours. The first team to finish or with the fewest pieces left after two hours will win prizes. We will also give prizes to the runners up. Teams will get to keep the puzzle at the end of the event. Team captains, please register yourself below. Only one person per team needs to register! This event is B.Y.O.B. You may also bring your own snacks. This program is strictly for ages 18+
