Workshop

In this 2 session class you will learn to read a pattern and make a backpack. You must have taken Crochet 101 or be able to chain, single crochet, and double crochet comfortably. Max one registered guest per person.

You'll receive a sample of a spice to try and interesting historical and cultural information about the spice, along with some recipes. Sign up each month by the 10th and we'll prepare your packet and email you when it's ready to pick up.

If you need some self-care, join us as we make our own DIY lip balm, lip scrub, and a lip gloss! This is a an easy project to make for yourself or as a gift to someone else.

Come and listen to stories read by a real Antioch Fire Department firefighter and get a chance to climb through a huge fire truck and learn about what firefighters do!

Step into Antioch’s past and help preserve its stories! This hands-on orientation will train volunteers to record local history interviews, learn simple recording techniques, and gather the voices and memories that make our community unique. In partnership with Lakes Region Historical Society and St. Ignatius Episcopal Church

Off-site

Join us for a lively and inclusive drum circle led by musician Brian Cooper! Bring your own drum or percussion instrument and connect with others through rhythm, creativity, and fun—no experience needed! We will meet at the pavilion at Pedersen Park. There are picnic tables to sit on or feel free to bring your own chair! We will have a few small percussion instruments available if you don't have your own.

Customize your own soap! There will be goats milk, shea butter, and glycerin bases to choose from. Max one registered guest per person.

Come paint flower pots with us to go along with our summer reading program, Plant A Seed, Read! Please register any child who will be painting a flower pot.

Let's talk about books! We will talk about the books you are reading now, your favorite books of all time and books you are dying to read. We will also look at some books that have come out recently, as well as books that you may like that are on the YA shelves. As we talk all about books, we will enjoy an awesome Boba Tea.

Spiering Room

Learn about Ham Radio and earn your Amateur Radio Technician License! This in-depth course in being taught by the Wisconsin Illinois Radio Enthusiasts. The course will run for 6 weeks followed by a Technician License exam on the 7th week. There is no charge for the course, but participants must purchase their own copy of AARL Ham Radio License Manual, 5th edition before the course begins. The manual can be purchased through the AARL website or another retailer of your choice.

Schroeder Room

Drop-in, unstructured play for children 0-36 months old with a caregiver. This program allows caregivers to socialize while their babies play together with a variety of sensory toys and board books.
