If you're a Bloomingdale resident who would like to use the Makerspace, you can apply for a library card at the Circulation Desk. Minors 17 years and younger need a parent/guardian present to apply for a library card. BPL Makerspace Mission For people interested in DIY, crafting, and making, the BPL Makerspace is a place where you can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge. We've designed a space suitable for learning, crafting, and collaborating. Age Limits The Makerspace is open to Bloomingdale Public Library cardholders ages 12-adult. Children 11 years and younger are allowed to use the Makerspace when supervised at all times by a BPL cardholder. Summer Concert Series Evil Burrito is Chicago's premier power pop rock band! From Pink, Kelly Clarkson, and Olivia Rodrigo, to Led Zeppelin, Journey, and Tom Petty, we play everyone’s favorite song. Summer Concerts are held in front of the library in the Dominic Froio Memorial Garden (with limited shade). Folding chairs will be provided, but for maximum comfort you are welcome to bring your own chair and/or hand-held shade umbrella. Popcorn, water, and ice cream will be available for purchase from the Friends of the Library, along with some fun give-aways. - popcorn 50¢ - ice cream 50¢ - water 25¢ Please bring small bills and quarters; we cannot provide change for $10 or over. Summer Concerts are held rain or shine - concerts will move indoors for inclement weather. Concerts are co-sponsored by the Village of Bloomingdale.

From planning to presenting, the teens will facilitate this fun activity for younger kids. Participants will earn service hours.
