At nine feet tall, this impressive portrait of the 16th president was praised by those who knew him as more lifelike than any other. Join us for a virtual recounting of the fascinating story of how the painting came to find a home at the Hartley Dodge Memorial in Madison, NJ, and the stories and symbolism it carries. The painting is currently on loan to the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. This is an online program via Zoom.
