The rumors are true—the click-clack of Mahjong tiles is officially coming to Downriver! We will be meeting every two weeks to start, so come get in on the ground floor. Whether you're a seasoned player or a complete beginner who has always wanted to learn, we have a seat at the table for you. 🀄 Style: American & Social Play (All skill levels welcome!) 💵 Cost: Free admission! ✨ What to expect: A relaxed, welcoming social scene in a beautiful historic building. Beginner-friendly tables with helpers to teach you the basics. Good vibes, laughs, and new local friends. A light snack will be provided to keep us fueled while we play! 🎒 What to bring: Yourself! And if you have the current National Mahjong League card 2026, please bring that along too. 📲 Save Your Seat: Space is limited with currently 15 spots open across our tables! The practice is a one hour. In each class we will be practicing a variety of self-care practices to help bring our mind and bodies into alignment. Yoga will be in every class and is for all levels. I will offer modifications for beginner and injuries as well as advanced students. The class will be different every week. Somatic practices may include but not be limited to yoga, breathwork, meditation, self-massage, reiki, drumming, sound bowls, chakra work, grounding and dance.

Rainbow Feathers Bird Club will bring birds, ranging from the tiny parrotlet to majestic macaws. During the session, they will discuss the age of the birds, their lifespan, and their origins. You will be able to pet the birds and get a memorable photos. This program is geared for people age 6-106. This program is not suitable for very young children.

Matt Watroba will lead you and your family in an evening of song. Sing along, suggest a song to share, or just listen. No experience needed, just a love of music and community. About Matt Watroba: Many know Matt Watroba as the voice of folk music in Michigan for his work producing and hosting shows for public radio. He has devoted his life and career to being a custodian of American folk and roots music. This has helped shape a repertoire and presentation that is unique on stages across the state and country. He is committed to inspiring the world to sing-- one town at a time. In 2019, Matt, along with his life-long musical partner Robert Jones, Co-founded the Detroit Non-Profit, Common Chords. Also in 2019, Matt Was inducted into the Folk DJ Hall of Fame at the Folk Alliance International conference in Montreal.
