Join us Thursday mornings for storytime at Hardwood Creek Library. This inclusive, welcoming program will use stories, songs, movement and more to help toddlers and preschoolers develop early literacy skills. This storytime is for children of all ages and their caregivers. This storytime will have unique content from our Tuesday storytime, and you are welcome to attend either or both. This is an in-person, indoor program. Registration is not required.

We can help you with a range of topics including: Searching the Internet, printing, and scanning. eBooks using the Library's Libby app. iPhone and Android phone basics. Troubleshooting laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets. Setting up an email account. Basic help formatting resumes and online job hunting. Basic help with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products. Library research databases, like Ancestry.com and Alldata Repair. Join the fiber arts club for knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and more. Each month, we will focus on a different project. Supplies will be available to help you get started, or you are welcome to bring your own project to work on. All ages and skill levels are welcome. We meet every Thursday at R.H. Stafford Library to create, learn, and make new friends. Registration is not required, but encouraged. Children under age 11 must be accompanied by a caregiver, as we will be using needles, scissors and other crafting tools.

Contraption Club (3D Printing) at Cottage Grove Service Center

Join us for Contraption Club at Cottage Grove Service Center, 13000 Ravine Parkway South, Cottage Grove. Learn how 3D printing works and use the free design software Tinkercad to create your own original 3D design. Children ages 9-12 are welcome. Space is limited to 5 participants. Registration is required. This is an abridged version of the program that took place at the Park Grove Library. Because 3D printing takes several hours, finished designs will be available for pickup the following week.

Join Washington County Library and Woodbury Parks and Recreation for storytime at Ojibway Park, 2695 Ojibway Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125. We'll read, sing, and play together with stories, songs, and rhymes. Storytime lasts about 30 minutes. We recommend bringing chairs or picnic blankets for your comfort. Geared toward toddlers and preschoolers, but children of all ages are welcome! Registration is not required. Please note that the program will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather.

Join us for Let's Make Stuff! to get crafty and learn something new. In this class, each participant will create their own mosaic trinket tray. Let's Make Stuff is a creative class for adults. Each class will feature a different project. Class size is limited, so registration is required. Register online or call your local branch. This program will be held at R.H. Local kiddie-rocker Aric Bieganek of the Royal Order of Chords and Keys (R.O.C.K.) will have everyone singing and dancing at this festive, high-energy program at Wildwood Library. An epic dance party and sing-a-long complete with egg shakers, scarves, parachutes, and bubble time, this experience is fun for the whole family. Featuring original songs and rock and roll takes on classic children's music, this concert will have tunes that even the grown-ups will enjoy. Let's rock! Registration is not required. Siama's Congo Roots - Acoustic Duo

Join us for a musical journey to Africa with live Congo music and storytelling at Oakdale Library. COMPAS Teaching Artist Siama Matuzungidi is a Congolese-born musician known for intricate acoustic guitar, catchy songs and spirited singing. His performances feature traditional African instruments such as the mbira and kongoma (thumb pianos), balafon (marimba) and lokole (tone drum). Siama is joined by vocalist, storyteller and hand percussionist Dallas Johnson. Their harmonies are inspiring and their joy is contagious as they perform, share stories and encourage audiences to sing along in Kikongo and Lingala. Siama was recently awarded the 2026 American Composers Forum McKnight Fellow. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Bob Ross said, "Every day is a good day when you paint." Create a colorful lake sunset in this relaxed, paint-along class using acrylic paint. An ArtStart instructor will guide you step by step through easy acrylic painting techniques as you create your own work of art. No previous painting experience is necessary. After each walk, a librarian will share a list of the books and authors that were discussed, so that you can add them to your "want to read" or "do not read" lists. The walking book club is a great way to meet neighbors and get your steps in. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes. This book club is for adults and meets on the second Monday of each month, May through September, at different trails in the Cottage Grove area. All trails are paved and have nearby parking.
