What adventures do stuffed animals have after the library closes? Bring your favorite stuffed animal to the library for a magical overnight sleepover! After a special storytime and drop-off event, stuffies will spend the night exploring the library. Return the next day to pick up your friend and receive photos of their exciting overnight adventures. Recommended for children and families.

Stitch, loop, and create with friends! Formerly our Crochet Club, the Textile Arts Club now welcomes crochet, knitting, sewing, embroidery, cross-stitch, mending, weaving, and more. Bring a current project or start something new while you swap tips, learn techniques, and get inspired by fellow makers. All skill levels are welcome—from absolute beginners to seasoned crafters. We are moving this storytime OUTSIDE for the summer! Join us at a different park each month. For July we will meet at John Mankins Park. Join us every second Friday of the month for our Reading With A Ranger Storytime program. Each month our Carson City Park Ranger will read and talk about a different animal. Kids of all ages will also have the chance to touch real animal pelts.

Saturday STEAM at the Library Saturdays | 10:30 – 11:30 AM What symbols would represent your kingdom, family, or heroic quest? Participants will learn about the history and purpose of coats of arms before designing their own unique heraldic shield. Through art and creativity, children will explore symbolism, storytelling, and medieval traditions. Recommended for ages 6–11.
