Welcome the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center and their live birds of prey! Tickets will be required to enter, and they will be given out 30 minutes before the event. Bring your unfinished craft projects, whether it’s knitting, journaling, painting, or anything in progress, and settle in for a productive, cozy stretch of creative time. Bonnie Finn Conference Room

This monthly gathering provides an opportunity for stitchers, knitters, and crocheters of all skill levels and techniques to gather for sharing and learning. This group meets on the 2nd Saturday and the 3rd Tuesday of the month.

Never touched a sewing machine, or the last time was in junior high? This class is for you! Learn to set up a machine, load the bobbin, thread the machine, sew straight and zigzag stitches, and make a shopping bag! The Library has 10 machines available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can accommodate 4 more machines for those who want to bring their own. Open to adults and teens.

Teens, hang out and watch Barbie (2023, PG-13) while eating pink sweets and snacks! While supplies last. Ages 13-18.

This group meets at the Library monthly to make fidget mats for local community members who have dementia or Alzheimer's. Please join us to help make mats! The group needs people who can: sew source fabric and sewable attachments source fidgety items for mats deliver to patients and organizations For adults only. Questions? Play for a chance to win adorable, low-maintenance mini plants while you socialize and test your luck with fellow plant lovers. Applications for both the academic year program and Teen Action Council will be accepted from July 14 to August 23. Teens ages 13-18 are welcome to apply for both opportunities or to choose one. Academic Year Volunteers: Applications for the academic year will be accepted from July 14 to August 23. New volunteers are required to fill out both the main application and the teen questionnaire. Returning volunteers are only required to fill out the main application. Applications will be available online and at the Youth Desk. All applications must be turned in to the Youth Desk or emailed to Abigail.Yardley@bedfordtx.gov by August 23. Late applications will not be accepted. Please see the application for more details. Get librarian and peer assistance with your computer or phone. Guests must bring their own devices and have a specific task they wish to learn. Each guest, if time permits, will be allotted a maximum of 15 minutes to focus on their tech question and, in turn, are encouraged to help one another throughout. Due to time constraints, we might not have time for every guest and question. First come, first served. Attendees are also welcome to come to sit-in and just listen and learn from others’ questions. Examples of tasks one might ask about: - Sending an email - Formatting text in Microsoft Word - Navigating to apps on your phone's home screen

Take turns and battle other players for some 16-bit glory. For adults and teens (ages 13 ) who are accompanied by an adult.

Families can explore at their own pace during this come-and-go event. Drop in anytime between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are not required, but space is limited to 70 participants at one time.

Learn how to design and format a professional resume. This class is part presentation, part workshop. Attendees are invited to bring a printed copy of their resume to share for critique in front of the class if time allows. First come, first served.

Participants learn how to use free AI resources to clarify role targets, improve resume language, organize job search activities, and prepare stronger interview responses. Space is limited. Registration is not required.
