Plug the latitude and longitude in to google maps and get ready to discover a love of nature and a prize for the savvy treasure hunter. Treasure box will remain in location from 10:00am-5:00pm.

Join us for a fun series where toddlers show their creativity with art! At this session, we’ll create a cute dinosaur handprint craft.

UVM Professor of Geology Laura Webb leads a family friendly uphill adventure introducing us to the natural history of Mt. Philo! See the rocks and relationships that speak to the tectonic history of the Appalachians, as well as some of the young sediments and striations that speak to the glacial and inland sea history of the Lake Champlain basin! Participants should be comfortable hiking up Philo’s main road at a leisurely pace, with intermittent breaks to admire and learn about the geologic splendor of a local landmark. Beat the heat with a 9:00am start from the parking lot at Mt. Philo State Park, where we’ll gather to begin our adventure. Bring plenty of water, as well as your thirst for geologic knowledge! Minecraft players ages 7-12 and their adults meet up to share their Minecraft knowledge and play together! Attendees should bring their laptop or tablet with Minecraft installed and account created.

Learn about the Tombs of Ur, the fate of Pompeii, and Viking ship burials; make your own Death Pit goblet and Vesuvian volcano and see what you can find in your own archaeological dig!
