Learn the basics of poetry and poetry writing with Frances Lombardi-Grahl. For teens between the ages of 12-18 Thursdays, July 2, 9, 16, 23 at 1:00 PM. Registration required. Space is limited. First come, first serve. Frances Lombardi-Grahl teaches English as a Second Language in Paterson, NJ and English literature at the Lev-Miriam Studio in Passaic. She is a first prize cowinner in the 2026 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Contest and has published in The Paterson Review, Lips, The Red Wheelbarrow, and other journals. In addition, her chapbook "My Mother's Hands" was published in 2019 by Feral Press. Participants will explore concepts in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, and biotechnology engineering through fun design challenges and experiments, developing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills along the way. For children ages 7-12 Day 1: General Engineering (Engineering Spark Education) Start the journey with Engineering Spark Education by learning what engineering is all about! Students will explore how engineers think, design, and solve problems through fun team challenges and hands-on activities. They will be introduced to the engineering design process, including brainstorming ideas, building solutions, testing designs, and making improvements.
