Let's Learn Spanish with Sara!

This class is part of a series and is by registration only. You only to need to register for this first class. If you are waitlisted and a spot opens you will be notified by email immediately. If you have a confirmed spot and realize you will not be able to attend the series please follow the instructions in your confirmation email to cancel so your spot may be given to someone else. In this class students will be introduced to Spanish pronunciation, basic grammar, vocabulary, and discover simple verb conjugations. There will be opportunities to practice speaking and sharing knowledge. A text book will be provided. But just like in school you can't write in an dwill need a notebook. In this class students will continue to learn Spanish pronunciation, basic grammar, vocabulary, and discover simple verb conjugations. There will be opportunities to practice speaking and sharing knowledge. A study is packet will be provided. This class does not require registraton. Students are however encouraged to attend as many classes as possible as they will fall behind quickly.

Tribal Hip Hop with Sara Woolsey!

Experience the vibrant rhythms and movements that celebrate the rich heritage of Black dance in this tribal hip-hop dance class. Journey through the roots of African and Caribbean dance, explore the grooves of reggae, and feel the energy of hip-hop, a genre shaped by Black creativity and culture. This class is a celebration of the profound contributions Black artists have made to the world of dance. Open to all skill levels, this session offers a unique opportunity to connect with music, movement, and the stories they tell. Dress for comfort and ease of movement! Let's meet Sara our teacher! After graduating from Verde Valley School Sara went on to attend Sofia university in Tokyo Japan. While there she taught English at Japan Railway to bullet train executives and free yoga at the Indian embassy. It wasn’t until after she became a mother that she discovered Zumba in her home town of Cottonwood AZ. She was thrilled to be part the presentation dance crew for the African workout sessions at the international Zumba convention for 4 years. Sara is a natural educator and ferociously fun. She continues to offer Yoga and Zumba for the local community. In addition, Sara is a personal trainer, also teaching tribal hip hop and multidimensional grounding awareness workshops. She is a master of sacred geometry and joyful self expression, an ideal guide to wiggle and groove to world rhythms!

Red Rock Quilters Workshop for Tweens/Teens

Calling all young makers ages 10–17! Join this fun, hands-on sewing workshop where you'll design and create your own unique quilt square while learning basic sewing and quilting skills in a creative, supportive environment. Sewing machines and helpful volunteers will be available to guide you every step of the way, and a variety of fabrics—including charm packs, fabric strips, and recycled materials—will inspire your design. Best of all, participants are encouraged to showcase their work in the next Red Rock Quilters Quilt Show!

Last year the waters were tested and crowd participation proved that grown ups want a Summer Reading program too! So, it's back! WOOT! It'll run the same as last year - read a book (listening counts too) and come get a ticket at The Desk, fill it out and drop it in the prize box you're hoping to take home. the more you read, the more chances you get to win! Readers have until 3pm on Saturday, July 18th to get their books read. Winners will be announced Monday, July 20th by 3pm. Don't forget to check out the American 250 Challenge too! Earn five tickets for completing a BINGO and enter in for a chanc to take home a National Park! (you can use your tickets for the other prozes too but ONLY a BINGO eanrs the right to enter for this challenge). This challenges ends on July 3rd at end of day! A HUGE thank you to our local donors Village Yoga, Verde Canyon Railroads, Seodna International Film Festival and The Friends of the Sedona Library for making this program possible through their gracious donations!

Representatives will be available in the lobby to answer any questions and disperse tools on loan. Sedona's Tools Empowering People (STEP) is a project to bring our community together through sharing of tools. Borrow or donate tools. Join the STEP volunteer team and be part of the global movement to reduce waste and put underused tools to work!
