Join Food Explorers for a DIY Apple Pie program! We’ll be making our own pie crust from scratch, mixing, rolling and slicing to make a lattice top on your homemade apple pie, served with whipped cream. Recipe is nut free but will contain dairy, eggs and gluten.

Bring already-owned jewelry that you can break apart to create a new earring, bracelet, or necklace. (Or bring something that is broken and just needs a little TLC to be good as new.) We will provide some tools (pliers, tweezers) and materials (beads, wire, chains, clasps) but feel free to bring anything else you'd like to use. We'll also share tips & ideas with each other.
Don't have any available jewelry to start with? Consider checking tag sales and thrift stores for low-cost costume jewelry and other materials. Other items such as brooches, keychains or pins can also work!
This is an "open house" event so you can feel free to only come for part of the scheduled time. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Play Mah Jongg! This is open game-play for players of all levels as long as you understand the basics of game play. The group will play with the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) 2025 card and rules. The writing on the Declaration of Independence looks like a secret code! Let’s learn that cursive code and write like a titan of industry. During this hands-on 90-minute program with calligrapher, Debby Reelitz, students will get the opportunity to learn and practice cursive and design a special signature inspired by famous historical figures from American history.
Registration is required. Please register each youth attendee.
**While this program is for children only, it is the library’s policy that no child under age 12 can be left alone in the library, so we ask that an adult remain in the building.
