Irreconcilable Differences: The Story of Prisoner Exchange During the Civil War
Children’s Area, Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library
TO BE RESCHEDULED! Early in the Civil War, the two belligerents had a process with which to exchange prisoners of war. Unfortunately, this process broke down well before the war ended, which had huge ramifications for prisons like Fort Delaware. The differences between the two sides were significant, irreconcilable, and get to the heart of what the Civil War was about. This program will explain those differences and problems. Presented by Jake Miller. No registration required.
