Ages 3-8 There is no better way to celebrate dinosaurs than by having our very own T. rex tea party! We will be reading a story about a dinosaur tea party (no, really!) and having some dinosaur-themed snacks, and from there we have some extra fun surprises :) Please register ONLY for (child) participants. Do not register adults/caregivers. Please note: there is a two strike policy for all who register for programs and no call/no show. Paleontology enthusiast, Jumpin' Jamie, presents "Jump into Dinosaurs", an exciting and educational show featuring live original music, dinosaur puppets, interactive games, fossils, and more!​ Jumpin' Jamie plays "kindie rock" for all ages: they have performed for celebrities and their families including Idina Menzel, Alicia Keys, and Jason Biggs as well as corporate clients including Twitter and Seventh Generation. Jamie appears in the award winning episode "Family Day" on Season 51 of Sesame Street airing on HBO and PBS. All ages are welcome; the program is designed for ages 3-10. This hands-on experience, brought to us by The Creative Pour, is beginner-friendly and designed to be both relaxing and rewarding. One River art school will be visiting to help us make our own unique 3D dinosaur creations; we will be studying different dinosaurs to gain a better idea of scale, perspective, and texture, and then we will use this knowledge to help us sculpt our own out of clay. In this ALL-NEW 45-minute family magic show, we will dig into the world of dinosaurs and archaeology while discovering the real magic hidden inside books! All ages, geared towards ages 4-10. Monthly Book Club. This month we will be reading Clock Dance by Anne Tyler which follows Willa Drake, an ordinary woman whose life has been shaped by family expectations, relationships, and a tendency to put others first. The novel traces key moments in her life before an unexpected opportunity takes her far from her familiar routine and introduces her to a new community. As Willa navigates unfamiliar circumstances and forms new connections, she begins to see herself and her life in a different light. Join us on the library lawn for our Second Annual Outdoor Family Movie Night as we screen the beloved original Toy Story under the stars! Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening of fun, laughter, and adventure with Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy's toys. After we learn more about the look and feel of actual fossils, we will use our new sculpting skills to craft our own 3D fossils! Please register ONLY for (child) participants.
