There are few species in North America as misunderstood and maligned as the coyote. Yet many understand them as a symbol of resilience and a subject of admiration, a North American mascot and vital member of our ecological team. Please join us for the Wolf Conservation Center’s talk about eastern coyotes, their history and ecology, and what we can do to best coexist with them. Attendees will come away with a better understanding of the behavior and benefits of the eastern coyote and how to empower our community with the tools, information, and resources to help us peacefully coexist with this misunderstood predator.

Adored by some, hated by others, Edith Head’s highly competitive and secretive nature drove her career to a meteoric height. Join me for a unique look at one of most important figures from the Golden Age of Hollywood. This program is presented both in-person and online via Zoom. Enjoy stories in Scenic Hudson Park by the far end of the park. Bring a blanket or towel to sit on. All ages! No registration necessary. If very wet ground or rain, the program will meet in the library. It will be announced here by 10:00 if there is a change.

Tuesday July 14th - Saturday July 18th Drop off a stuffed friend who will spend a few days in the library. (Not your absolute favorite stuffed friend, please!) What kind of shenanigans will they get into?! Drop-off is Tuesday. Come pick them up the morning of Saturday, July 18th at 11 AM. You'll enjoy watching their adventures together. This group is for intermediate and advanced learners of Ancient Greek. It meets weekly to translate and discuss approximately 50 lines of Greek poetry per session. Texts have included the Odyssey and Aristophanes’ Frogs. For current texts and schedule, please contact david.f.driscoll@gmail.com
