Monster Budget Game with SFCU

Join Sydney Federal Credit Union and take part in a hands-on budgeting challenge where they are given a set amount of money to "build" their own monster. Using their budget, they must purchase all the necessary monster parts, including a body, legs, arms, eyes, and antennas. As they make choices, children will learn how spending more in one area may require compromises in another. This fun activity introduces basic budgeting concepts and demonstrates the importance of planning and prioritizing expenses. Best for ages 10 & up

Bump to Bundle Story Time Join us for a special Story Time created for expecting moms and mothers with babies up to 4 months old. Bump to Bundle Story Time offers a warm and welcoming space to slow down, connect, and build community with other moms experiencing the same season of life. Each session will include familiar Story Time favorites such as books, songs, gentle movement, rhymes, and bonding activities designed to support early literacy and healthy development from the very beginning. There will also be time for conversation, encouragement, and connection with fellow moms as you navigate pregnancy and new motherhood together. This nurturing program is designed to create meaningful moments for both babies and mothers, helping strengthen early relationships, support emotional well-being, and foster a lifelong love of learning and connection.

Love talking about, preparing, and eating food? Join like-minded foodies in this new and creative program focused on all things food and food-adjacent. As our garden vegetables begin to come in and we have an abundance, we will talk about freezing vegetables for future use. We will follow-up the presentation by making a summer pasta salad with fresh vegetables. Participants are invited to bring recipe ideas to share on how to make the most of your garden harvest. Registration is required and limited. This class uses the Charlie Cart, a portable kitchen provided with funds from Assemblywoman Pamela Hunter. Camp Liverpool: Adult Science Camp

Join us for this camp just for adults who love science! For three Thursdays, this summer we will explore different scientific themes and try our hands at different experiments! Dates and activities are: July 16: Micro to Macro - from earth to table. At this session we will discuss and experiment with soil, set up our own microgreen sprouting containers and pot American Giant sunflowers. Campers will taste some microgreens and make sunflower butter. July 30: Meet us at Clark Reservation where Environmental Educator, Cara Gannon, will lead us on a Fossil Walk identifying fossils in the park! Following the walk, campers will create fire starters and roast marshmallows for s'mores! The trail will cover 1-2 miles some of which will be rocky and uneven. Please wear sturdy and appropriate shoes. There is a $5.00 park entrance fee per vehicle. August 13: Water science - Did you know Syracuse China used to dump china in Onondaga lake? China fragments can be found today along the lake shore. On this evening, we will talk about why china was dumped in the lake, "blind" test different water samples, and create a piece of art using china pieces found along the shore. This program is for individuals 18 . Registration for all three programs will open on June 20 at 9:00 a.m. You must register for each program separately. Please check schedules prior to registering to ensure you are able to attend. Participation is limited.

The Warm Mug Historians: Jail History of Onondaga County

Enjoy a mug of something warm and take a fun, informative journey into the past in this program for history lovers! This discussion will focus on the jail history of Onondaga County 1794-present. Topics include the 1810 Onondaga Hill Jail, 1812 jail break incident, 1829 Division Street Jail, 1850 north side penitentiary, the plight of the orphaned canal boys, jail site execution ground, the 1900 and 1983 Jamesville Penitentiary, 1917 Cedar Street Jail, 1964 Public Safety Building Jail, and the 1995 Justice Center Jail. Presented by Jonathan Anderson Retired – Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant and Historian. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and mug will be provided!

Deputy County Clerk Eric Wright is a NYS Notary Public and will be available from 2-4pm at the Liverpool library to notarize documents and answer questions. What is a Notary Public? A Notary Public is a State designated official who may act to witness the signing of important documents, verify identities, and deter fraud. A Notary Public must verify a signer's identity via photo ID and check for document completion. Please be aware that a notary public cannot provide legal advice, draft legal documents, or explain the legal effects of a document unless they are also a licensed attorney. What do you need to bring? The signer will need to present a government issued ID (ex. Driver's license, learner's permit, passport, military ID etc.) to the notary public. There is no fee for these services. For questions in advance of their notary appointment, individuals can call the County Clerk's office at (315) 435-2227 to speak with a Deputy Clerk.
