Extended Maker Space Training: Direct-to-Garment Printer

This is the mandatory training session for the direct-to-garment printer in the Geauga County Public Library Maker Space. The training session includes a presentation, training videos and Q & A; following the training session, experience a hands-on demonstration of the machines in action. Print designs directly on to T-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, aprons, socks, cotton fabric and more. Learn the basic steps to use the sublimation printer so that you can create your own one-of-a-kind items. All ages welcome to attend the training session. Children under 12 need a guardian with them to use the sublimation printer. The guardian must also attend this training before helping a minor with the machine. If you will require assistance, the library recommends finding your own assistant, who must also attend mandatory training before working in the Maker Space. Must have an active Clevnet or Geauga County Public Library card to sign the user agreement at the end of the session. Maker Space Training: Cricut

This is the mandatory training session that covers the Cricut machines. The training session includes a presentation, training videos and Q & A; live demonstration of the machines is not included. The Cricut can cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, heat transfer (iron-on) vinyl, bonded fabric, and poster board. The Cricut Mug Press uses sublimation compatible mugs and infusible heat transfer sheets to make dishwasher-safe and beautiful unique mugs. Learn the basic steps to use these machines so that you can create your own one-of-a-kind items. All ages welcome to attend the training session. Children under 12 need a guardian with them to use the Cricut. The guardian must also attend this training before helping a minor with the machines. Bainbridge Maker Space Office Hours

Want some support with your first visits using the equipment in the Bainbridge Branch's Maker Space? Schedule your session during these hours so staff can offer extra help! No registration required. The staff member will be available to answer your questions. You must take the mandatory training and sign the user agreement before scheduling a session in the Inspiration Station. Machines include: Cricut Maker, direct-to-garment printer, embroidery machine, heat press, large format printer, laser engraver, and vinyl cutter. Although no training is necessary to use the sewing machines, staff can help with the sewing machines as well. Staff are happy to answer questions, offer suggestions for projects, and find resources for you during this time. Staff will not help with design or do any project for you.
