June 6: Preserving the Summer Herb Garden
Get the most out of your summer garden herb abundance by learning some simple preservation techniques. We'll talk about drying herbs, making herbal infused salts, and making herbal honey. You'll also learn about the healing benefits of common culinary herbs and how to incorporate them into your daily cooking for added flavor and nutrition.
July 11: Cooling Herbs for Summer & How to Use Them
Learn about cooling herbs and how to use them to assist the body in dealing with summertime heat. All participants will get to sample the delicious teas we learn about during the class and walk away with recipes to make at home.
August 22: Herbal Infused Vinegar
Learn how to harvest, create, and use medicinal and culinary herbs to create your very own herbal infused vinegars. This is a lovely way to increase the benefit, nutrition, and flavor of the vinegars you already use in your day to day cooking, and it is a delicious way to preserve the abundance of the summer garden before we transition into autumn.

Sara Rose Bryant has been practicing the healing arts since she became a licensed massage therapist 23 years ago. She is also a yoga teacher, birth & postpartum doula, community herbalist, and a passionate home gardener and cook. She looks forward to sharing ancestral knowledge with you.
