Learn about RI's revolutionary history for the 250th anniversary of the nation! Coventry author Linda Crotta Brennan presents the story of the Rhode Island First Regiment, a military unit that offered African American slaves freedom in exchange for serving in the Continental Army. Brennan shares her hunt to uncover the true story of this important but forgotten piece of Rhode Island history. Join us for this presentation on July 23 at 6pm. Register at 397-3873.
