Join us for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to sourdough baking!
Bekah of Bekah’s Bread LLC will guide you step-by-step through the process of mixing, folding, shaping, and baking a beautiful loaf of sourdough bread. Along the way, we’ll explore flavor, texture, and creativity—plus how to make sourdough baking fit seamlessly into your everyday life.
Come ready to learn, laugh, and get your hands a little messy. You’ll leave with dough ready to finish at home, your very own sourdough starter, and the confidence to keep baking long after the class ends.
Please bring a medium-to-large mixing bowl and your favorite apron!

Join a one‑hour, high‑energy pirate adventure packed with competition and creativity! Gear up with bandanas, eyepatches, and tattoos, then split into crews—Pirates vs. Privateers. Design your own pirate flag, compete in team games and relays, and use real navigation skills with compasses to hunt down buried treasure.
Finish strong by building a model pirate ship and testing it against a “cannonball.” Strategy, teamwork, and bragging rights are on the line—ARRR you up for the challenge?

Sharks Come Cruisin' plays an energetic mix of sea shanties and maritime music, keeping the themes of audience participation and celebration at the center of their music and live performances. SCC has played several festivals up and down the East Coast, from Florida to Maine and host the PVD Shanty Sing in their hometown of Providence RI.

Painting With Wendy is back by popular demand! Wendy Crooks, Jamestown artist, will be your guide through and exciting new rendition of her painting course.
Participants will work together to create a large image that is divided in 16 individual canvases.
The image will be drawn out in advance. Each painter will paint their own canvas anyway and with any colours they like.
When combined these individual efforts reveal a cohesive larger picture.
The finished work will be displayed in the entry hall of the library for a short time. After which your painting is yours to take home.
All supplies will be provided.
Registration is required and opens one week prior to the event (Wednesday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m.)
