Presented in Partnership with the New Haven County Bar Association. The purpose of “Ask a Lawyer” is to provide members of the community with general legal information. An attorney meets with the participant and provides a free 15 minute consultation. If the individual requires additional assistance, they are referred to the Lawyer Referral Service for a recommendation to an attorney or a social service agency. Signup starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 7:30 pm -- first come, first serve.

Meet privately, in person at the Wilson Library with a representative from Liberty for help with a variety of social services needs. Liberty Community Services, Inc. will meet one-on-one with patrons to provide help with any of these social service needs: housing; employment; basic needs; benefit programs; prevention from eviction; access to food programs; health services; mental health services; and substance abuse treatment.

Whether you want a one-on-one intro lesson or prefer to feel things out with a book and an instrument, you are welcome to come try your hand. Stop by the Wilson Branch music room open hours to experiment with guitar, keyboard, mandolin or ukulele. Get pointers, sheet music or a quick tutorial. No reservation needed. Space is limited.
